Aspeq is proud to continue its sponsorship of the Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School, offering scholarships to support aspiring aviators aged 16–19. This ongoing partnership underscores Aspeq’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of pilots and fostering a thriving aviation industry in New Zealand.

For over half a century, the Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School has been a cornerstone of aviation training in New Zealand. Held annually in Matamata, this two-week immersive program brings together budding pilots with experienced instructors and industry leaders. The program provides students with a unique opportunity to develop their passion for aviation while gaining valuable insights into the industry.

Each year, the Walsh Flying School empowers young participants to explore their potential in aviation. The program is designed to inspire enthusiasm, build foundational skills, and offer exposure to various career pathways within the aviation sector. As part of this experience, attendees also have the opportunity to compete for scholarships. In 2025, four students will benefit from Aspeq’s sponsorship, giving them the financial support and encouragement needed to pursue their dreams.

The Wings Presentation and Awards Dinner will serve as a fitting conclusion to the 2025 program, highlighting the accomplishments of the students and the enduring partnership between Aspeq and the Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School.
