Aspeq’s Business Development Manager, Shani Bennik, is passionate about helping the company’s global aviation clients find specialised examination solutions. Shani’s invaluable knowledge of Aspeq’s operating systems and the context of our clients means she is always at the forefront of designing customised examination solutions for our Aviation partners. With a strong commitment to enhancing global aviation licensing standards, Shani plays a pivotal role in growing Aspeq’s reputation as a leader in assessment services.
Aspeq’s global reach was a significant attraction for Shani, who holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Economics and Finance. With an academic background in public policy, Shani brings valuable expertise to supporting Aspeq’s regulatory clients on an international scale.
“We work with national aviation authorities around the world to deliver personnel licensing exams, and at the same time grow our business into new regions and sectors,” Shani explains.
Shani’s comprehensive understanding of Aspeq’s operations stems from her experience across various parts of the business. Her time in the Assessment Services Team was particularly impactful, where she gained invaluable experience in the complex process of writing examination questions and conducting statistical analysis on the performance of examinations.
Transitioning to the role of Project and Business Analyst, Shani excelled in translating technical and business requirements into practical solutions, likening the process to solving a complex puzzle. “It’s about strategically thinking about what is going to work for them within their constraints, and meets unique examination needs and regulations Shani notes.
“We have a real dedication to quality and a reputation for improving global licencing standards. Everything we do is about lifting aviation safety standards. In regions where we operate, we have seen competency increase and more people register to take exams,” she asserts.
As Business Development Manager, Shani balances maintaining relationships with existing National Aviation Authorities clients and cultivating new relationships to expand Aspeq’s reach. Recently, she joined the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA) delegation to the Director General of Civil Aviation for the Asia-Pacific Conference in the Philippines. “It was a great opportunity to meet some of our Asia-Pacific clients in person, which was incredibly important to me as I am committed to fostering those relationships,” she shares.
Shani’s strengths lie in her deep knowledge of the business and her ability to produce detailed tenders that are technically robust and engaging to read. “I enjoy the challenge of balancing complex requirements with writing solutions that are easy to understand,” Shani says. Her attention to detail ensures that every tender not only meets but exceeds client expectations, providing clear and comprehensive solutions.
Looking ahead, Shani aspires to be the trusted advisor for aviation regulators globally. “I want to be the go-to person our clients turn to when they need an examination solution or have a problem. I want them to immediately think, ‘Shani from Aspeq will know how to help,’” she concludes.
