New Office, New Chapter!

Jul 25, 2025

Last week, Aspeq proudly opened the doors to its new office in Petone, marking a major milestone in the company’s 33-year journey.

Officially opened by Hutt South MP Chris Bishop, the event celebrated not only a new office but a new chapter in Aspeq’s continued growth and commitment to trusted, secure assessment services—powered by our people.

Chris Bishop presented a commemorative plaque to Aspeq Board Chair, Paul Le Gros, acknowledging the significance of the occasion and Aspeq’s contribution to public safety and regulatory excellence.

Aspeq Chief Executive Hamish Findlay welcomed guests to the event, reflecting on the company’s journey since its founding in 1992 to deliver secure aviation assessments for the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand (CAA). Since then, Aspeq has grown to deliver independent, high-stakes assessments for regulators in aviation, health, trades, transport, and other industries across New Zealand and around the world.

The opening was attended by government representatives, clients, and partners. It also brought together Aspeq’s entire team from both sides of the Tasman, reinforcing our shared values, collaborative spirit, and global ambition.

Choosing Petone as the home for our new office reflects our deep confidence in the Hutt Valley as a hub of talent, innovation, and opportunity. The space will support our growing teams in assessment design, technology development, operations, and client support—right here in the heart of Hutt City.

This move is more than just a change in location—it’s a reflection of Aspeq’s continued evolution as a leader in secure assessment services. We’re proud to continue delivering high-quality, independent assessments that uphold public safety, ensure professional competence, and support regulators across the globe.

As Chris Bishop noted during the opening:

“It’s fantastic to see a Hutt-based company like Aspeq continuing to grow and lead on the world stage—setting standards for safety and integrity while investing in our local community and economy.”

We’re excited for what lies ahead and grateful for the ongoing support of our clients, partners, and the wider community. Here's to a new era, based in Petone, and focused on shaping the future of assessment worldwide.
