Aspeq Continues Support for Youth Glide New Zealand with 2025 Sponsorship

Jan 7, 2025

Aspeq is proud to continue its sponsorship of Youth Glide New Zealand (YGNZ), contributing two prizes for the 2025 Youth Glide camp. This sponsorship reflects Aspeq’s commitment to fostering the growth and development of young aviators, aligning with YGNZ’s mission to inspire youth through the thrilling sport of gliding.

The 2025 YGNZ camp, a key event for aspiring glider pilots, will host young participants in an immersive 10-day program. Guided by experienced volunteers, the camp provides an unparalleled opportunity for intensive skill development, camaraderie, and exposure to the exciting world of aviation. Aspeq’s sponsored prizes aim to reward exceptional achievements during the camp and support the recipients’ ongoing aviation journeys.

Since its founding in 2006, YGNZ has been dedicated to reversing the decline of youth involvement in gliding. Through initiatives like the annual Youth Soaring Development Camp, YGNZ has created a nurturing environment where young pilots can grow their skills, build character, and explore career paths in aviation. What began in 2010 as a small gathering of three youth pilots in Omarama has now developed into a nationally recognised event, attracting up to 25 participants annually and expanding to include additional locations like Matamata.

The 2024 Youth Glide camp promises to be another transformative experience, thanks to the dedication of YGNZ, the enthusiasm of its participants, and the support of corporate partners like Aspeq. Together, they are ensuring that the future of gliding in New Zealand remains bright and full of possibilities.
