The recent FAA/EASA Conference, provided an excellent platform for engaging with many of our clients, including representatives from United Kingdon CAA, CAA Thailand, CAA Singapore, and CASA. The event was marked by productive discussions, reaffirming our position as a key player in the aviation industry and highlighting our contributions to regulatory advancements.
Conference Highlights
The conference addressed several trends in the aviation industry, highlighting varied approaches from aviation authorities worldwide in implementing ICAO requirements. A significant focus was on Safety Management Systems (SMS), with New Zealand already advanced with its implementation. Half a day was dedicated to discussing the introduction of SMS for all FAA-regulated organizations, emphasising the need for global standards in safety management.
Workforce challenges were also a major topic, with both the FAA and EASA expressing concerns over attraction, retention, and development. The discussions included adopting new technologies and regulatory changes. Additionally, both organisations are concentrating on modernising and consolidating systems, and examining how digital transformation will impact safety systems.
Looking Forward
Hamish Findlay CE reflects, “The Conference was highly valuable, primarily for reinforcing our presence in regulatory discussions and meeting with key clients”. We also explored new contract opportunities, potential extensions, and innovative solutions in licencing and exam services. Overall, our participation in the FAA/EASA Conference underscored our commitment to innovation, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction, setting the stage for continued success and growth in the aviation industry.
