Exams Launched for CAA Thailand

May 24, 2022

Aspeq is excited to announce the successful launch of examinations for CAA Thailand on the 19th of April.

We are providing a full suite of aviation examinations for CAA Thailand including:

- Flight Crew (PPL, CPL, ATPL, Ratings & LAPL)
- Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML)
- Aircraft Traffic Controller (ATC)
- Flight Operations Officer (FOO)

One of the key benefits of adopting the Aspeq assessment solution for CAA Thailand was to transition from paper-based to computer-based examinations, including question bank maintenance, candidate registration and booking, and examination delivery.

The question banks are maintained in our system, Quadrant, which then seamlessly generates assessments at the computer-based examination centre in Bangkok. Quadrant automates the maintenance of question banks and eliminates the manual printing of exam papers, ensuring the accuracy and quality of our assessment solution.

We setup a custom Candidate Portal to book exams and view results online, while following CAA Thailand's unique business processes and aligning with the new Thailand Civil Aviation Regulations (TCARs). This will streamline the examination experience for candidates, CAAT administrators, and training organisations. We have integrated our solution with EMPIC, which will validate candidates and automatically send results to CAA Thailand.

We are pleased to have supported CAA Thailand with the switch to EASA standards, with our partners CAA International providing the FCL and AML question banks based on European and Thai requirements, enabling Aspeq to provide a globally respected technology platform for aviation assessment solutions.

We have recently developed our own ATC question bank that meets ICAO standards, and we are excited for CAA Thailand to be the first National Aviation Authority to use it. This is the next step in our ability to provide a comprehensive suite of aviation examinations for NAAs across the world.
