Aspeq helps NZ’s Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board unlock efficiencies
In Aotearoa New Zealand, plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying is restricted work that can only be carried out by registered and licensed tradespeople. The Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (the Board) is the regulatory body for these trades, setting the standards for registration and ensuring registered people have the right qualifications and competency to carry out this work.
Since 2018, Aspeq has been supporting the Board to deliver high quality registration examinations. A recent move to digitising the Board’s certifying exams has led to major improvements in efficiency that means candidates can take exams more frequently, and receive their results much faster.
Aspeq leads in Quality & Compliance copy
At Aspeq, security, quality and privacy aren’t just buzz words. They are deeply embedded in the organisation's culture and integral to its international success. Aspeq’s high quality standards are recognised and verified through its long-standing ISO certifications, as well as the organisation’s own rigorous processes. Together, they ensure every aspect of Aspeq’s business contributes to delivering assessment services with integrity beyond question.
Aspeq bringing secure, remote assessment services to more clients
Aspeq is delivering on its commitment to provide high quality assessments anytime, anywhere as it prepares to roll out a remote invigilation service to more of its clients. The service will give candidates the option to sit exams from the comfort of their own homes, regardless of where in the world they are located.
Aspeq is a global leader in delivering high-stakes exams in highly regulated fields like aviation, health and finance. It’s recognised for its large network of secure exam centres, found everywhere from central London, UK to Australia’s remote Alice Springs. For many candidates, it’s easy to find a nearby Aspeq exam centre where they can sit a comfortable, secure exam overseen by a professional invigilator.
However, Aspeq recognises that this isn’t always possible. Mobility challenges, constraints on time and finances, and travel restrictions, can all make it difficult for candidates to physically access an exam centre.
That’s why Aspeq has begun rolling out a remote invigilation service to select clients in Australia and New Zealand, with the aim to make it available to global clients in 2024.
Robust, reliable and fair: How Aspeq ensures its exam results can be trusted
From pilots to emergency responders, Aspeq tests whether some of the most trusted members of society have the skills and knowledge they need to undertake their jobs safely and to the highest standards.
Working behind the scenes to ensure these assessments are robust, fair and reliable is Aspeq’s Assessment Services team. Their commitment and expertise is part of the reason why Aspeq’s services have been trusted globally for over 30 years.
Assessing whether a pilot can safely operate a commercial aircraft or a gasfitter can competently install a complex gas system are matters of life and death. As world-leaders in delivering best-practice assessment and licensing services, it’s a responsibility that Aspeq takes seriously.
