Introducing our new Customer Services Manager

Sep 5, 2022

We are very excited to welcome to the team, our new Customer Services Manager,
Stephen Boswell.

Stephen joined us in July and leads our NZ-based customer service team, who provide the day-to-day support to our customers, and candidates, to ensure the smooth delivery of exams across the world.

Before becoming part of the team at  Aspeq, Stephen was with the NZ Defence Force, joining as a soldier in 2020 and continued his journey with NZDF as a civilian, into a role as a Commercial Manager. Prior to this Stephen gained an extensive background in customer service leadership roles, during which he discovered a passion for building solid relationships, both commercial and personal.

When asked what attracted him to Aspeq, Stephen shared, “I was looking for a role that offered growth, both for the business and personally; during the recruitment process, I started to get an idea of the workplace culture here, and I was excited with the prospect of joining such an environment.”

Stephen has spent his first few weeks with us visiting our exam centres across the country, and meeting our team of Invigilators; he said on his travels, “It had been a while since someone had been able to visit our team of invigilators due to travel restrictions, and it has been great to be able to meet some of the team face-to-face and to show that they are valued members of Aspeq  and getting feedback, that I can address as a group once I finish my travels”

Stephen has shared that he has been enjoying meeting the people “whom all seem to really enjoy themselves working here,” taking part in our weekly quizzes, the way Aspeq involves the whole company in its business plan and loving the flexibility and hybrid work model that Aspeq offers, including the option to work from home.

Away from work Stephen is inspired by history, he likes to read books about people who lived in what we today would consider tough times and explore how they not only dealt with and got through these times but thrived in them, “people getting through inspires me; I also spend my spare time in the gym and am learning to speak Japanese.”

From all of Aspeq, we would like to say welcome to the team Steve; it is great to have you onboard!
